Laundry Room Mini-Remodel, Reuse, Recycle...

A few months ago, my sister remodeled her kitchen and threw out all her old cabinets. My dad took them to his shop to use for storage. My little laundry room was only equipped with one wire shelf. I was out of room and it was out of my reach, making laundry hard on me (I'm short). So I went to my dad and asked if he could spare a couple of cabinets. He, of course, said yes! How can you say no to Daddy's little girl?? So, bless his heart, he sanded and painted and repainted and painted some more, until they were ready. Then he came out and spent two days with me to install them. During the painting process, I suggested we paint them to match the rest of the cabinets in my house (cherry). But he was afraid it would make the laundry room too dark. After all...it is very small. But then I decided while it was empty, that would be the perfect time to paint. After all the house is over 6yrs old. So I did. With Meredith's help, we painted it a fresh, white, which brightened the room right up. So now, the cabinets we painted a Khaki, need to be Cherry. So I guess next week I'll get to work on repainting the cabinets my dad worked so hard on. Thanks Daddy!

Here are a few before and after. As soon as I get them repainted and some accessories hung, I'll add more photos.

see all that clutter?? it was driving me CRAZY!
 aah...clutter free!
you notice all the towels???...Aiden decided to turn on the spout that connects to the washing machine. we had water EVERYWHERE.
when you're doing a little "remodel", you never know where things will end up. :)
 coming back together...
AAAHHH! Tranquility!!! It's amazing what a set of cabinets can do to your overall perspective of a room. Thanks again Daddy!! I Love You!
