Potty Training

Can I just start by saying, that my favorite part of potty training is washing the poo-poo out of the panties. blah!
So, my little girl is almost 2.5 yrs old. We have been trying on and off since just before she turned 2. But only got really serious about it about a month ago. She’s doing pretty good, but she’s not consistent. The first time she ever went potty on the toilet (her little toilet) she pooped! That was huge for me! Because my son had been potty trained for almost a yr before he finally pooped on the potty. Arr. So when that was her first time, I was stoked (yep, I just said stoked). She did that 3 or 4 times. But now…she won’t! Since I’ve really gotten serious about it, she’s pooped once on the potty and that was over this past weekend. What can I do to get her to poop in the potty? I would think a starburst would work. She gets a jelly bean for peeing and a starburst for pooping. I’d think that would be motivation, but apparently that’s not the case. I’ve even put her little potty in the car. That way I always have it with me. But it helps to remember to put the bowl back in it. Ha! I forgot that this weekend. Oops. Anyway, back to the inconsistency. She’s pretty good if we are home all day. She’ll even go potty if we are in Wal-Mart or a restaurant, but if we are at, say my moms or my in-laws, she’s like ‘forget it’. Even if I try to be good about asking her, she’ll say she doesn’t need to. My mom has the same potty as we do, but she will not go. She’ll go sit on it, but won’t pee. Anybody have any suggestions?
She goes to pre-school two days a week. And starting tomorrow, she’s going in her big girl panties. They will help with the potty training, but they don’t do pull-ups. I don’t blame them, I don’t really like them myself. I go back and forth with regular panties and pull-ups. If she’s having an “off” day, I’ll use the pull-ups, just because I don’t have enough clothes for her to be constantly peeing in them. I’m hoping that with their help, at school, she’ll be potty trained in a couple of more weeks.
I’m tired of buying diapers and pull-ups for that matter. :)
