Happy 5th Birthday, Aiden!!

Happy Birthday to my baby boy!! By the time you read this, he will be 5 years old. It's hard to believe it's been 5 years. Back in 2004, when we lost our first precious little angel at around 12 weeks, it was, to say the least, devastating. But just like he always does, God put our hearts at ease and on May 27th, 2006 we found out we were pregnant again! A bit scared, but so excited. With the miscarriage constantly in the back of our minds, we had to trust God. And we did and he blessed us with an easy pregnancy and a perfect little boy.
Induced at 38 weeks, due to water leakage, he arrived @12:08am, weighing in at 7lbs 5oz, 21 inches long and with a head full of black hair. He was perfect!!
He's now my big man and the spitting image of his daddy (and uncles). He walks around in his Carhartt overalls, work boots and fire fighter radio on his hip. He's too cute for words and a hand full at the same time. Some days, to hear him talk, you'd think he was 17. But most days, he's just my sweet little man.
It brings tears to my eyes, when I stop and think about him starting school in 7 months. My husband and I had a big decision to make. Public school or private school? I've said, since Meredith and I first started dating, that I wanted our children to attend public school. I did and I loved every minute of it. Meredith was home schooled and he loved every minute of that. But I'm not that mom. I don't have the patience or the smarts, to home school my children. I want them to get a good education, go to college and be successful. And hopefully, play some sports along the way. We've decided to meet in the middle and send him to private school. That way he gets the Christian centered education that Meredith got with home school, and the "public" school environment that I got. We are looking to put him in New Hope Academy. I'm going to contact them tomorrow and see what our chances are of getting in. Prayers greatly appreciated.

Happy Birthday, Aiden! Momma and Daddy love you so very much! We are blessed and humbled that God chose us to be your parents.
