Here's a picture of their 1st day of school. How cute are they??
Monday, September 21, 2009, Aiden and Abby started "school".
Well, I had to go back to work (outside the home, that is). Meredith was working as hard as he could, but it was getting to be a little too stressful on him. So in July I contacted my former employer and asked for a job. I went back in July, just temporary, which turned into part-time, which in September turned into full-time. It was a blessing, And it took a lot of stress off Meredith.
But me going back to work, meant my babies had to go to daycare. It was sad, but it was a good thing. Meredith and I had been talking about putting Aiden in a mothers day out program, so he could learn to be away from me and interact with others. So we started our search. I looked at places in Murfreesboro, close to our home, but I couldn't find one that had openings for Aiden and Abby. They could all take Aiden, but not Abby until she turned 1. Well, that was a couple of months away and I could have them at two different places. Then i decided I would like them to be close to mom, in case something happened. She could get them for me. So we found Franklin Child Care. It right on my way to work, 10 minutes from mom/dads home and 5 minutes from moms work. It was a blessing. And the people there are wonderful.
They started part-time at first. 3 days at school and 2 days with Aunt Annaliese. Then we decided it would be better for a routine, if they went all week. At first it was really hard on Aiden. He cried (and when i say cried, i mean SCREAMED) every morning. Abby did real well. She would cry when i first dropped her off, but the minute i was out of her site, she stopped. It took us several weeks to get Aiden settled, but Ms. Lydia was wonderful. She worked with Aiden to make him comfortable. All the teachers did. Ms. Katie made him her buddy. All the teachers there are wonderful. We are very pleased.
