Happy St. Patrick's Day

Well, here it is...12:08 12:25 Thursday morning (St. Patrick's Day). I should be asleep, like the rest of my house, but as you can see...I'm not. All week I've thought, 'I'll have plenty of time to get all my decorations ready'. The children are in school on Thursday, so I'll have all day. So today, I spent a few hours browsing the Internet, downloading and printing all sorts of goodies. Coloring pages, cupcake decorations, games, etc... I even got my son's shirt made (nothing like waiting till the last minute). My husband finally gets home around 7:15 and he asks me 'what do you have going on tomorrow?' I always know where he's headed when he asks a loaded question like that. He needs my help. We own our own construction business, so how can I say no? I can't. So I say, 'nothing, what can I help you with?' So needless to say, after fixing supper, grabbing a shower and getting the children ready for bed, I started running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Trying to get done, tonight, some of the household chores I usually do on Thursdays, not to mention all the St. Patrick's Day decoration preparations!
Our day will start with breakfast (it's a school day, so just cereal); Lucky Charms of course. And we'll add some green milk to the equation. I'll send them off to school in their cute St. Patty's Day outfits. Then I'll go spend my day driving a truck and trailer around a field, hauling dirt. Then, I'll go pick the children up, rush home to make supper. That will consist of Sheppard's Pie and Rainbow Fruit Kabobs. Then dessert will be Rainbow Cupcakes with green icing (which aren't made yet, because the kitchen is under my little girls room, so all that banging around would definitely wake her). Then after I make the cupcakes, I'll have to ice them and decorate them. Woo. So much for my..."I've got plenty of time" plan.
Pictures will follow tonight, after everybody goes to bed. Does anybody else see a pattern here??
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
Hope it's full of LUCK!
