Christmas 2008!

Since Meredith and I got married, my mom has always done Christmas Eve. That way we have one last stop to make on Christmas morning. This year was just has wonderful. We go for dinner, but this year we opted for a more casual dinner than before. We did finger foods. It was nice and required very little clean up. The kids had a wonderful time and got lots of stuff. Too much stuff. I'm running out of room to put it all.
So, now here we are Christmas morning, at our home. This year was a blast, at least for Meredith and I. Aiden was not too interested in opening his presents. I think the whole Santa thing and then all the presents just overwhelmed him. Abby, of course was too young to care. She just sat in her seat and went back to sleep. I'm sure she was thinking...'why'd y'all wake me up'? Aiden had a big Christmas as always...even though i tried not to due to the economy. He got a kitchen set which has everything (microwave, stove, oven, sick, fridge/freezer and cabinets). It's great! That was probably his favorite, next to the table and chairs and his new coat, hat/mitten set.
Then Christmas afternoon we headed to Meredith's mom and dad's. Aiden got even more stuff (and Abby too, but again she didn't care). His favorite item there i would have to say were the "fireman" rain boots Papa bought him. He put them on immediately and didn't' take them off.
Abby got lots of cute clothes, some toys and a couple of stuffed animals. I can't wait to see her grow into all those clothes. Bless her heart, she's still so small.
Thank you every one for all the wonderful Christmas gifts. We truly are blessed.
